Protection, Shipping and Island Policy, Tourism, Climate Crisis and Civil Protection regarding Santorini.

The Greek government has issued a decree to take emergency Civil Protection measures in the Santorini Island Complex due to the recent earthquakes. The measures include traffic control at Athinios Port, restrictions on access to the old port of Fira and the upstream Teleferik area, and prohibitions on access to certain areas of Oia, Ammoudi, and Thirassia. The restrictions aim to reduce traffic congestion and protect residents, visitors, and employees on the island. The decree is effective for a period of two months.
